Thankfully the weather had improved so not as cold when we left Coober Pedy. The country each side of the highway still had opal mines. Facinating to see. We couldnt believe that the country was so green. Really pretty with pink flowers everywhere. We even saw some Sturt Peas but couldnt pull over to take a photo. Arrived at the Uluru turnoff about 4 and booked into the caravan park. Just in time as a thunderstorm was about to hit.
