Day 38-40 October 7th-9th
Started pretty early. No wind so a great day for driving. It was pretty warm so the lizards and snakes were out in force. We even had camels and emus. First day drove for 10 1/2 hours and stopped just after Madura. Second day a little windier and got to the other side of Coogardie. The day finished off in rain and wind. Couldn't find a good spot but eventually stopped and were the only ones in the camp site. Today only had a short trip home. On all the days we had our talking books going to get us through.
We had a great trip with only one week of the trip a bit too windy.
Can't wait for our next adventure to begin.

Day 34-35 October 3rd and 4th
Left Adelaide early to get out of the weather. The sky was so black. We had only one detour thank goodness. The wind was horrible so it was a very slow trip. At one stage couldnt get over 70kms an hour. A lot of water everywhere. We stopped at Kimba at a free camp. Had dinner at the local hotel. Met another WA couple so had a nice night. Today only had a short trip to Streaky Bqy. Wind much kinder today but still about 35 kms and hour. Decided to go and see the blow holes again. They were fantastic with big swells. Wind has died down tonight and it is going to be a great day tomorrow. Very sick of all the wet weather.

Day 32 October 1st
Left very early to get to Adelaide. The road was pretty good but we did have our scary moments. We went through 4 flooded creeks. On one creek a car had left the road aqnd ended up on its roof. The road north out of adelaide was cut by floods so cars were sent through the Clare Valley. Long lines of traffic. Managed to get to Adelaide just before the Grandfinal started. Visited John and Lauren and kids for tea. Had a great night.

Day 31 September 30th
Drove out to the desert park to see the scultures. Still pretty windy. Visited the mine lookout.
Looked in on some art galleries. Loved Pro Harts gallery and then went to Jack Absolums. It was such a treat to see him come into the gallery. Loved his paintings. Finished off with some shopping.

Day 30 September 29th
Another rough day in Broken Hill. Caravan was rocking so much that we decided it was too scary to stay. Went up to the visitors centre in town to ride out the storm. Wind was 63kms an hour with gusts up to 85kms an hour. After our 3rd cup of coffee went and saw the silver mine. From there had lunch again at the RSL Club. Being safe inside was great. Decided to keep going and saw the Royal Flying Doctor service. That was wonderful. They had flown out that morning for an emergency. Unbelievable in the high winds. We went back to the caravan about 5 and the winds had dropped thank goodness. Not as scary but still have the roof clipped down. This morning the wind had lifted the roof so quickly clipped it down. Hopefully tomorrow the wind has died down enough to go up to the look outs in town.
